Ways to Give

Support Africana Studies

There are many ways to support the Department of Africana Studies! You can give to the general fund (Africana Studies Enrichment Fund), or you can specify that you’d like your gift to enrich travel opportunities for our students. Additionally, our holdings need support, and we are always interested in cultural artifacts that families may find themselves with. Endowments are another important way to ensure growth of the department. See more about each of these below. Questions? Call the department office phone at 865-974-5052.

Endowments

Endowments ensure enduring support for our department. They can be assigned to a specific initiative or the desire of the donor. The link below will connect you with the University Foundation professionals who work with donors to implement these funds. If you would like to start an endowment to ensure the growth of the Department of Africana Studies, be sure to let them know you want your gift assigned to Africana Studies. From there you can specifiy how your funds will be used within our department.
